The support of the Canada-UK Foundation allowed Christopher Minty to travel to the University of New Brunswick and explore its distinctive Loyalist Collection.
Christopher’s research attempts to understand Loyalist sentiments in an age of imperial crisis.
The archives gave Christopher access to claims submitted by New York Loyalists after the American Revolution, muster rolls of their regiments and several of their private papers.
These resources were invaluable to Christopher’s aim to fill the gap in our present day understanding of militant loyalism.
